(Parliamentary news)  April 23, 2021;-  The Prime Minister said the law enforcement operation in Tigray State was not the intention of the government. He explained that the government had repeatedly sent mediators to prevent the war from starting, but that it had failed and harmed the people.

He said the campaign was aimed at arresting criminals, freeing innocents and enforcing the law. He also said that life is no longer possible for TPLF because it is a powder that dispersed in the air.

He said that despite the economic damage and loss of life caused by the war, the government is doing a lot to help the people of Tigray. He also thanked the other regional states for their support to the Tigray regional state.

He also said that OLF Shene's attacks in various parts of the country will not benefit anyone and no one will gain profit from it. He also stressed the need to break away from Narrow-minded as the country is not belong to only one and two nationalities but also plural.

He said rumors circulating inside and outside country about the Amhara Special Forces and militias as an invading force are not valid but would be prosecuted if they acted outside the mandate of law enforcement.

He said there are people, who compare the current situation of Ethiopia with those of failed states. He said the papaya tree is not the same as the palm tree, adding that Ethiopia does not care about the evil idea of "state failure" because it has its own unique character.
