Health professional’s team of Israel comprising three Knesset (House of Representatives of the State of Israel) members convened an official visit being paid to the annihilated health centres in the war-torn regions of Ethiopia, this morning.

The team, generally made-up of 13 members and led by Honourable Gadi Barkan, is going to spend three solid and consecutive days in Ethiopia, observing the destructed health institutes of the country in the war-conflict hit regions.

The leader of the team said so during the reception ceremony conducted at Bole int’l airport of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, this morning; by MPs of the HoPRs, spearheaded by Dima Negewo (PhD), Chairperson of the Foreign Relations and Peace Affairs Standing Committee of the House.

Honourable Gadi Barkan, the incumbent Knesset member and a former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Intelligence of Israel noted; the aim behind the visit is just to support the health centres with all possible means. It also is an assertion of the Israel’s commitment to Support Ethiopia even during such adverse times, he clarified.

As to him, the visit would, perhaps paves ways for the enhanced medication and treatment of Ethiopians injured due to the war-conflict.

Honourable Chairperson Dima (PhD) praised the team in the name of the House and the Ethiopian public for taking the initiative and paying actual visit to the damaged health centres with the aim of providing support and alleviating health related shortcomings.

The Chairperson also appreciated the team for its further commitment to discuss with senior officials of Ethiopia on the ways of delivering support to the intended areas.

Honourable Bayabil Mulat, MP of the Ethiopian House on his part said; the visit of Gadi Barkan’s team is something more than a simple medical help. It conveys huge friendship meaning to us, the Ethiopians, he indicated.

“Such medical expedition, the one paid earlier or the current one, are indications of the healthy Ethio-Israel diplomacy and long standing relations,” he elaborated.
