Residents and businesses need urgent Government support to mitigate the rising cost of living of Addis Ababa. Residents hold talks with their elected representatives of The House of PeoplesRepresentatives of the FDRE. They told that the cost of living crisis is affecting, and will continue to affect many types of people across the city and beyond. 

Residents said the government should address the issue of security and good governance of the city and the country. They called for the immediate completion of ongoing projects that have been started in various parts of the city and point out that the city administration needs to address the issue of decentralization in the consumer unions and sector.

Residents of the town said the government should take immediate action regarding the rising cost of living.

The MPs, on their part, pledged and stands ready to work with the Government, which holds the powers to tackle the most pressing issues, to put a package of support in place and to address the issues raised by the residents. They said they will fulfill their responsibilities as a bridge between the people and the government.
