The House of Peoples’ Representatives of the FDRE evaluated the 2010, the 9th month performance report of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister of the FDRE foreign affairs, H.E. Dr. Worqineh Gebeyehu while presented his report to the House explained that the ministry has undertaken enormous activities that could propel lasting peace in the horn of Africa and also bring development and economic ties as well, also, comforting situation that shall be instrumental for AU to ensure development, peace and continental unification. The state’s bilateral and multilateral relations have been conducted in a manner to boost the state influencing status to the highest level at the world stage, to maintain the national economic, political and security advantages, he added.

The House noted that the ministry to use research based diplomacy for advancing key issues of foreign relations, namely the strategies to use the Nile River and the peace process engagement in the horn of Africa.
