The Houses elected new female president sahle-work Zewude who makes history as elected the first female president of FDRE.

The House of Peoples Representatives’ and House of Federation, in its special session held on oct/25/2018 has elected Ambassador Sahale-work Zawude a president, as the former president H.E. Dr.Mulatu Teshome submitted letter of resignation which was instantly confirmed by the Houses.
