The Second Africa-Turkey Ministerial Review Conference was held in Istanbul from 11-12 February 2018, with the view to strengthening economic cooperation between Africa and Turkey.

A delegation led by Dr. Aklilu Hailemichael, State Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Participated in the conference.

The Ministerial Review meeting was organized in accordance with follow-up Mechanism established since the first Africa–Turkey partnership Forum. 

In his remarks, State Minister Dr.Aklilu acknowledged the efforts that are being made by the Government of the Republic of Turkey to encourage Turkish investors in Africa and for the various successful events  organized in the areas of trade, agriculture, education and other sectors to establish and strength B2B contact and to impart knowledge and transfer technology.  

He also stressed the importance of a well designed and stronger bilateral engagement of Turkey in Africa.   

The conference reviewed the progress made on partnership and agreed to boost the cooperation between Turkey and Africa.
