Women need to be actively engaged in science and technology sector.

This has been pointed out on the discussion by the Women and Children Affairs Standing Committee of the House of Peoples Representatives and the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs in the 2011/12 budget year.

The Standing Committee recommended that the activities undertaken in the industrial sector to ensure women's participation and benefit, to strengthen women's associations, to strengthen the capacity of women to participate in the education and to make the public aware of the harmful practices of the industrial sector in the next budget year.
